When I moved to Seattle 10 years ago, it rained for 90 days straight. I moved from Lake Tahoe to Seattle in 1999 but I'm not a California transplant- I was born on the east side of that border in Nevada. By the way 'Nevada' does not rhyme with 'Prada' and never has.

In those first 90 days I began to appreciate the subtleties that Seattle offers. I admired the snowy mountain peaks, the ocean caps and seagulls all their unique shades of gray. After those 90 days the clouds parted, the gray turned green and summer was here. Most Seattlites will attest that we have 3 seasons and spring is rarely one of them. I now live in Ballard with my family and appreciate all new subtleties. Like the difference between Swedish and Norwegian heritage; lutefisk and lefse; and Hiram and Leif. In my life outside of Real Estate I work as an independent film producer. I am currently working on several projects in the Ballard area - including a high concept, tilt-shift short at the ship yard and a documentary of a Viking Ship.

My professional experience spans nearly twenty years- a decade of which was spent in advertising. In that world I negotiated multi-million dollar contracts w/ major corporations... I have also negotiated bedtime w/ a three year old as a bonafide stay-at-home dad. The latter requires more finesse let me assure you. I began my Real Estate career six years ago and found my background in business development, marketing, promotion and negotiations merged well with the buying/ selling processes within residential Real Estate. I have an affinity for architecture; and celebrate the 'Not So Big House'. I also have a fascination with modern dwellings- just ask my wife about my dream of living in a shipping container.

I know that surviving those first 3 months was initiation and Mother Nature's way to control the migration to the Northwest. I still miss desert sunsets and a steady ski season, but wouldn't trade the subtleties and soul of Seattle for anything.
